Holiday Sale 11/24-12/23, Bike Classes Scheduled On Calendar!

Sorry its been a minute since and update.  Everything in the store is now on sale for the holidays. All 2018 bikes are 10% off. 2017 bikes are 15% off. General accessories, shoes, helmets, clothing and tires are on sale at 20%. Electronics, bike trainers, car racks are 15% off.

I finally got the chance to update the calendar on the site and have scheduled the bike classes through January listed with times and descriptions.

Bike Class! Hubs, Headsets, Bottom Brackets, Cranks

We will discuss hubs headsets, bottom brackets, cranks today. We will go over installation, removal, adjustment and repair of all the previously listed. Wear cloths that you don't care to much about because we will have hubs out to adjust if you would like the experience.   Class begins at 9:00a.m. and will end around 10:00a.m.  Come through the double doors located on the North East side of the building directly out of the parking lot as the front door will be locked.

Bike Class Saturday The 23rd, Hydraulic disc brakes!

This coming Saturday the 23rd in the bike class we will be continuing our discussion of disk brakes and will focus on hydraulic systems. We are going to discuss different types of hydraulic brake fluids and where and when they are used in different conditions as well as what companies are using fluid wise. We will go over the tools generally needed as well as safety gear needed while working on these brakes. We will be bleeding a Shimano brake system and then discussing different techniques with other companies. As usual class will start at 9:00a.m. and will go until approximately 10:00a.m.. Use the double doors on the North east of the building.

Front & Rear Derailleur Class, Spin Class

This Saturday the 8th its all about derailleurs, identification, inspection, removal, installation, and then adjustments.  Regardless of what style of riding you do the theory of adjusting a derailleurs will be the same and what a life saver on long rides.  We will work on both front and rear derailleurs.  Remember to arrive a little early, class starts at 9:00a.m. and will go to around 10:00a.m. come through the double doors on the North East side of the building as the front door will be locked.

Spin Class will be at its regular time of 10:00a.m. and if we have enough for a second class it will be at 11:30a.m..  If you plan on attending make sure to call ahead so we can reserve you a spot.  For either class plan on coming a few early to get set up and warmed up.

Bike And Spin Class Saturday the 25th, More Lake Shoes And Bar Mits Are In!

This Saturday the 25th we will continue with both of our Spin class sessions and our Bike Maintenance Classes.  Bike class this Saturday will be wheels.  We will discuss wheel theory, truing, spoke selection, spoke length, spoke types, spoke replacement, and overall wheel repair.  We will begin at 9:00a.m. and will finish around 10:00a.m. Come through the double doors on the North East side of the building directly out of the parking lot as the front door will be locked.

We have just received a new shipment of Lake MXZ 303 shoes and also are sitting on an additional five of the universal mtn/commuter style Bar Mits just in time for the rest of the season and the Global Fat Bike Summit this weekend.

Bike Class, Saturday December 14th

Last Saturday we went over basic maintenance of a bicycle in the bike class and despite a stinking snow storm we still had people here which was great.

This coming Saturday December 14th in bike class will be assessing, describing, removing and reinstalling cables and housing to both the derailleur and brake systems. We will also cover chain wear, removal, installation, and we will go over the use of master links. Class will begin at 9:00a.m. and will end around 10:00a.m.. Come through the double doors an the North East side of the building as the front door will remain locked so we can concentrate.

GoPro Hero3 plus Cameras Are In, Bike Maintenance Class this Saturday.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.  Our first shipment of GoPro Hero3+ cameras have arrived and are ready for sale, we have three on hand right now.

Our annual bike maintenance class will begin this Saturday the 7th of December.  Class will begin at 9:00a.m. and will run through 10:00a.m.. Plan on arriving about 5 minutes early so we can get started promptly.  This class will focus on basic maintenance and will provide the foundation for further classes down the road.  We will discuss cleaning, lubrication, inspection of your bicycle, and then we will remove a tire, patch a tube and then reinstall the wheel back onto the bicycle.  If you have any questions send an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Bike maintenance classes

Bicycle Brake Class
Saturday, January 14, 2012, 09:00 - 10:00
This session will concentrate on how the bikes brake system operates, types of brake systems, where and when different brake systems are used.  We will learn to identify different pads for different brake systems, talk about different pad materials. Towards the end of the class we will start to adjust a road bike brake system.
The next Class, the 21st, will adjust V-brakes(linear pull brakes), and will continue on into disc brakes both mechanical and hydraulic. We will start the discussion on bleeding hydraulic brake systems and see how far we get.  I will schedule the next class following this the class on the 21st. 9:00a.m.
